Hello, my land rover disco 2 keeps over heating. I have already change the thermostat, water pump, several hoses, reservoir tank and done the radiator flush. I took it to the dealer and they said that its building preassure inside the engine and air its getting trap in the cooling system. They also said that it would be like over two thousand dollars to fix it. After that, they were saying that it would be best to get rid of it and they traying to sale me a newer model. I do Wanna keep it. Any advice what may be the problem?

Any advice on what could be

Answer
If your Rover is building cooling system pressure from inside the engine, $2,000 is not going to fix it unless the problem is limited to head gasket failure.  If you have short block liner trouble, you are probably looking at $7-10,000 for a proper repair.

Here are links to two articles I've written that describe the situation in more detail.  OUr company is known for repairing these issues, but it is very costly.  At least 80% of the overheat failures we see nowadays are liner failures; the more expensive problem.

Expensive as this is, we do lots of these repairs because people love the cars.
