Car Alarms: Perimeter lights - Alarm, viper 791vx, auto reply

I have a 2004 Chev Avalanche. With the factory fob, when you unlock the doors it turns on the perimeter lights(headlights, mirror lights, tail lights). Installed a Viper 791VX alarm/starter. Everything works except this feature. Starts, locks the doors, unlocks the doors, but no perimeter lights. I like when I unlock the doors at night and it lights up around it. What did I miss? Or is there a work around?
