Car Alarms: 1999 infiniti G20 alarm system, 1999 infiniti g20, infiniti g20

There was something wrong with the alarm system of my 1999 infiniti G20. It went off for no apparent reasons. Infiniti dealer suggested to replace Smart Entrance Control Unit. I denied that and asked them to unplug fuse of alarm system for me. No alarm system anymore on my car. However, all lambs inside as well as rear windows heater do not work anymore. Are they connected to alarm system? Thanks a lot!

Yes ma'am,
   It's likely that other systems (lights etc...) would be
on that same circuit. The problem with the "FACTORY" alarm
in this vehicle is that there is no "simple" way
to disarm it except what they did. It works with the
locking and unlocking of the doors.

The dealer may not be wrong about the suggested replacement
if you are loosing more then gaining when you removed the
fuse from it. Just saying, that may be the only real solution if that part
is indeed malfunctioning.
