Car Alarms: 1995 Chevy Blazer - Prestige Alarm?, audiovox prestige alarm, chevy blazer

Question
purchased used vehicle that has a sticker on the window saying it has a Audiovox Prestige alarm but i did not get a keychain alarm switch. the alarm horn was cut out of the system but there is a light on the dash that was blinking and followed your directions on unhooking the battery then put the key in the forward position and putting the battery back and the truck started no problem - well it has happened again and did the same thing but now the engine just turns over - verified it fires, looked under dash and cannot find a valet switch of any sort - found what appears to be a shock sensor strapped to the base of the steering wheel with 3 wires to it - red/blue/black the read and blue go to the light on dash and black havent located the end of it yet. the numbers on the shock sensor are "PRO 9094C" ran search on this number didnt come up with much other then it has something to do with Audiovox - starting to run out of idea's on how to disable this gizmo or figure out what model it is exactly to find the manual

Answer
I am not certain on Audiovox. It may be imprinted
on the brain box up under the dash. But you wiil
need to get up in there to fish it out.

Try to ask in the forum at
www.INSTALLSUPPORT.com to see if anyone
knows this system or numbers. Also try that
model number at Audiovox USA to see if they can
figure out what you have there, and how to
advance some assistance.

But really, the best bet is to replace with a fresh
set of remotes and a new, updated alarm system
rather then piece and patch the old one together.

I have some decent systems that will do a great job
in this truck. Let me know if that becomes an
option, and we'll work together to get the one
that works best for you.

Good luck.
