Car Alarms: 2007 VW Passat Wagon, vw passat, keyless entry

I am moving and need to ship my 2007 passat wagon. The shipper wants me to deactivate the alarm during transit. How do I do that?

Answer
Only way I know of, is to leave the doors unlocked.
The remote controls the keyless entry
and the alarm simultainiously. They work together
so unless it's locked, there won't be an alarm issue.

That's the only way to keep the factory
alarm from arming until you get it there.
