Car Alarms: 1998 Subaru Outback alarm, chevy blazers, subaru outback

Question
QUESTION: It seems that my alarm is set off by other peoples' remotes all the time and it's getting worst every day. Ranges from Chevy Blazers to Porsches. Twice yesterday alone. What can I do to remedy this?

ANSWER: I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

QUESTION: The lights flash, horn goes off-can't see LED flashing though. My neighbor's remote sets off the alarm an dunlocks the car. They can stop the alarm going off but my car is unlocked! I have dealer installed Subaru remote keyless entry H7110AS401 and upgrade is H7110AS600

Answer
The trouble here is that these two alarms
came from the same place, and there were only 18
frequencies alloted for this system.
Yours and the neighbor's are synched unfortunately,
and the FCC rules express clearly that you must
allow for overlapping control frequencies of simular
systems. So the bad news here is that unless his
or yours is disabled, they will always be able
to do what they have been doing.

Wish I had better news, but the odds are high
that this would have become an issue at all.
You simply can not change it, unless they are
sepearated by distance and they are out
of range of each other.

Sorry about that.
