Car Alarms: remote starter, alarmtek, ford mustang

Question
I have a remote starter in my 1998 Ford Mustang that is fairly new, however, I am purchasing a new 2007 Mustang and would like to take the car started from my old car and have it installed in my new car. Would this be possible or do I need to get a whole new starter?

Answer
Sure it's possible, but you will need other
items as the car has changed. I'd start fresh
with a new one, but if you want to do it this
way, get the wiring chart for both cars
(www.mywires.com) remove from the first, repair the
old wiring, then transfer to the new car, with
the needed relays and modules to cover
the changes made to this car so it will work again.

It's a tedious process, but doable.

Good luck with that.
