Car Alarms: 97 pontiac grand am, pontiac grand am, overide

i recently purchased a 97 pontiac grand am and the theft system kept engaging after a short drive.I put a passlock bypass on it and now it is fine. however, does it have a factory alarm and how do i engage it? i have no remotes, just keys.

No it has passlock 1, a resistor based transponder
system, which you already took out.
So if you have something else happening, it's
a good bet it's after market.

Look at "valet overide" is the past few postings
to determine if you do have an after market system.
