Car Alarms: alarm upgrade, alarmtek, harness assembly

I have an elite dm 1500 alarm.It's around 10 years old.Either i don't program the remotes i have correctly,or the alarm doesn't accept the programming.If i decide to upgrade,is there one that i can just connect to the harness and not have to do anything to the wiring?

Doubtful there would be anything
that would harness match. But the fact that the
wiring is already done means you can
re do it without too much searching.

At this point you would test each wire on
the exsisting harness for what it does
(ie: door locks-starter disable-flashing lights etc...),
and cut into and add in a new harness assembly.

Then you can update comfortably.
