Car Alarms: Wont unlock and disarm at the same time, viper 771xv, alarmtek

Question
I have a viper 771xv and when I had it installed it would unlock and disarm at the same time when the disarm button was pressed.  Now when i press disarm, it just disarms but won't unlock until I wait a few seconds and hit the disarm button again.  Its a little annoying... any help?
