Car Alarms: siren not working, bell housing, warble

Question
I have 2001 camry that has an aftermarket immobilzer everything seems to be working well except for the siren you can here it going off very faintly is time for a new siren or is it a short somewhere.

Answer
2 things come to mind.
1. It's badly grounded. That can cause the
low, warble like sound. Re splice the ground
wire, and reground to the chassis
to see if this solves it.

2. The siren has water in the bell housing.
This is where this circuitry is located,
and it is toast until it can dry out completely.

If you think this may be the reason, either
pop a hole with a screw into the horn end,
drain it, and let dry for a few days and
it will eventually come back online.
Or, go ahead and replace it with a fresh,
loud siren. Can't hurt anyways if it's me.

Have a good evening.
