Car Alarms: SIDEWINDER ALARM--HOW DO I ENABLE, valet mode, dash area

Question
QUESTION: Somehow I disabled my Sidewinder alarm. My remote start and keyless entry still work, but I have no alarm. My LED is no longer flashing, it's solid. I have no clue how it happened, but I need to enable my alarm. Any ideas on how to get my alarm working again?

ANSWER: Should be no problem really.
It appears from your expaination, that the
car alarm is in service mode.

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes off, and the siren chirps twice.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should reset the alarm.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to valet mode.

That should do it.

Let me know if that solves it.

QUESTION: Thank you for your quick response. I tried this and it doesn't work. I've also tried to do the 1-2-1 code with my keyless entry and that doesn't work either. Any other suggestions?

Contact my collegues at
SALES@TAMPACARALARMS.com .

They have volunteered to field these DEI

Please be kind, as they are not paid to help you
(neither am for that matter :>) ).

They do this to advance the support to the
after market that DEI will not.

Good luck with it.
