Car Alarms: trunk release wont work from keychain transmitter, trunk release, remote start

Hi.  I have an Audiovox APS787 Remote start/security system with keyless entry.  Every thing seems to work the way it should except the trunk will not open from the keychain remote and the trunk release in the glove box doesn't work anymore either.  I have the original keyless entry that came with my car, (2003 Monte Carlo) and have to carry BOTH keychain remotes just to open the trunk. Can you help me fix the remote so it will open my trunk?  Thanks

I suggest you take it into the place you had it installed
to repair this situation. It sounds as if the relay
used to pop the trunk may have shorted out the switch
in the glove box and needs repair.

Have the tech go back in to inspect and repair.
