Manual does not tell me how to disarm the alarm system. I recently had a car stereo installed and by disconnecting the battery it reactivated the alarm system. We only used the remote previously to open and lock the doors. now I'm having a problem with the remote and the alarm goes off every time I open the doors. How do I disable the alarm so I can start my car, especially now that i'm having a problem with the remote?

Answer
If it's a factory alarm, you need GM to reset the
factory system. If it's an aftermarket system, see the past
posts about valet overide to reset the alarm and
allow for proper operation. Not alot you can do to
simply disarm this particular GM system on your own.
