Car Alarms: Old Chapman Anti Theft, porsche 944, old security

Question
Had Chapman anti theft installed on 85 Porsche 944 When new. Never any problems. Now that car is almost 23 years old should I be worried?

If it's me, replace and upgrade at this point.
Don't count on a 23 year old security system
that's been in continuous use.

You may feel it's unecessary, and you
are the one who would know, but it's not
expensive to update really, then it just
one less thing to worry about after that,
ya know?
