Car Alarms: Car Alarm, nissan maxima gxe, keyless entry system

i have a 1998 nissan maxima gxe.  with a what i think is a factory installed alarm.  Once i lock the doors the alarm goes off. Headlights flashing, car horn honking.  Door light also keeps coming on.  How can i disable the alarm?

The only ways I know of is to turn the
key in the drivers door lock to the left
first, then to the right to disarm and unlock.

You can either do it that way, or add a keyless entry
system to do it, but there is
no wire to address. It's the physical locking
and unlocking that arms and disarms on this car.

Sorry, wish I had better news, but not all fixes
are simple with Nissans.
