Car Alarms: Alpine car alarm model SEC 8028 on 89 pontiac formula, pontiac formula, electronic chips

Question
Hello,
I have a 1989 pontiac formula, just took it out of storage a few weeks ago. Everytime I turn the egnition the trunk opens, the alarm goes nuts with a chirping sound, it wont start, nothing works not even the radio. everything opens the trunk. I was told to destatic the key because the electronic chips can mailfunction the alarms in the pontiacs, it failed weve pulled the whole thing out and its wired right into the wire harness and all the fuses are ok. Any suggestions? its sitting in my driveway unable to do anything, we had it towed here and the person who towed it was unable to figure it out either. Again we believe its the Alpine alarm model SEC 8028 , I really am not sure if its a factory install or aftermarket.
thank you for any assistance. I really appreciate it, my hands are tied right now.

Answer
No unfortunately not. I'd have to advise
removing the alarm completely, and start fresh.

I'd also have the charging system in the car
to make certain it is doing it's job.

But back to the alarm, it is indeed aftermaket,
and without instructions to operate, I go back
to having it removed and the starter wire repaired.

Wish I had better news, but its
an old alarm system, and salvaging it
can be expensive in just replacement remotes
alone.

Good luck.
