Car Alarms: programing a 2 way remote, alarmtek, ebay

i bought a 2 way remote off ebay. i'm having a time trying to program it...i have the scytek 5000rw and i'm following the instructions in the book to the t,but when i push button (1) like stated and get the chirp and turn off the ignition the remote still does not work.....help..

Trouble is that it may not be the right one for the
5000 rs. They have several different systems,
and usually each has it's own 2 WAY matched remotes.

It's key on, press and hold in valet or "call" button
until you here the siren chirp, then press the
lock button. If no response, you probably
have a mismatched remote.
