Car Alarms: remote car starter, remote car starter, alarmtek

Question
I've been having problems starting my 1999 GMC pickup. Sometimes it starts great and other times it turns over, but isn't catching. The fuel pressure is fine so it's not fuel or the fuel pump. My mechanic may think it has something to do with the remote car starter, can this be?

Answer
Sure it can be that, the passlock bypass module
used to help start the vehicle can be malfunctioning.
Can also be a wearing out of the ignition switch
itself.

I would take it in for an inspection to the local
stereo/alarm store and have it looked at.

Good luck with that.
