Car Alarms: lights staying on, power locks, installation forum

Question
I have a 2000 Honda Civic. It has a cliffor alarm in it and on the key fab it says G4.

A few weeks ago my power locks stopped working. Now When I shut my car off the running lights and all the interior lights stay on. I took it to a mechanic and they flicked a button and the power locks started working but the lights still stay on. they seem to think that it may be the alarm. Does this sound like an alarm problem?
