Car Alarms: Dodge ram 1994, alarm features, dodge ram

Question
The car had not been run for a few years and I just put in a new battery.  Now the alarm came on and will not shut off so I can't start the truck.  How do I turn the alarm off?  Please note all I have is the key and that won't do anything.

Please try to locate the valet switch
to overide the alarm.

If you would read some of the previous
posts I made on this subject, you will
see the procedure to toggle into and out
of valet/override mode. It allows
you to set and reset the starter kill mechanism
as well as all other standard alarm features.

This should also apply to yours.
