Car Alarms: 1994 Infiniti Q45 Alarm malfunction, 1994 infiniti q45, infiniti q45

QUESTION: I have been having a problem with the factory alarm going off after locking the doors.  After locking the doors the hazards blink twice and I can hear the locks activating, but when I come back after a period of time the alarm is going off.  This has happened many times and I have tried locking the door from the inside, replacing the battery on the remote and still the problem persists.  Do you have any other recommendations as to why the alarm might be going off?

ANSWER: Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action

QUESTION: The Headlights flash and the car horn goes off.  I am not sure about the SECURITY light in the dash, because when I am returning and hit the unlock button on the remote the horn and the lights stop.

Answer
Trouble here is that the factory alarm
is controlled be the phyicallity of locking
and unlocking the drivers door.

Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it.

Try this and if no joy, you will
need to have Infinity inspect the trouble
and reset it by diagnostic.
