Car Alarms: Alarm going off, dodoge, alarmtek

Question
I have a 1997 Dodoge Grand Caravan and the last few days, the anti-theft alaram has been going off for no reason. It will go off in the middle of the night or right after you lock it and start to walk off. I was told it could be a low battery but the battery is only 4 months old.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables on this vehicle &
I Require a bit more imput please.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.
