Car Alarms: Alarm sensitivity, shock sensor, brain box

Question
I have a 2000 S-Series Saturn.  The factory alarm is very sensitive.  I work right by the airport and it is always going off from the planes.  I was wondering if there is a  control box somewhere in the car where I could adjust its sensitivity myself.  Thanks, Matt.

Answer
Trouble here is Matt, it's not a factory alarm
if the planes are setting it off.

Your alarm has a shock impact sensor. You will
need to locate the alarm brain box under the dash,
then trace back the wiring to the shock sensor.

If it's me, I'd unplug the shock sensor. Hate them,
and especially where you work! I'd simply rely
on the door triggers to protect the car from there
on in.

Good luck.
