Car Alarms: My Lexus IS300 (2001) has an attittude, lexus is300 2001, lexus is300

I have a 01 lexus is300 and every other day my car will not start after I have inserted the keys into the ignition. However, my dashboard lights come on and my radio works.  My friend informed me that it's my alarm system and I just need to reset it by wiggling the battery cables. Although, wiggling the battery cables do not work every time and I have to let me car sit for a day before I can restart it.

Bad. If you have to "wiggle" anything at all, that's bad.
PLEASE take this to the local stereo/alarm installer,
even Circuit City or Best Buy if necessary, and
have then inspect and repair that before it becomes
a big deal.
