Car Alarms: Automate AM1, 2007 mitsubishi eclipse, valet mode

Question
I hope you can help.  I have a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse.  Installed is an Automate AM1 alarm.  Just recently it has been going off every 40 minutes or so.  The headlights flash and the horn honks.  I turned the ignition on and off with no luck.  It is now in valet mode because I can't stand all the honking.  What can be causing the alarm to go off and is there a way to reset it?  Thanks!

Answer
Well, here's what it could be...

1. bad door trigger wire.

2. shock sensor set too high

3. it could have a current sensor detecting
a spike in the power the Eclipse is sending,
like the computer monitoring-diagnostic
pulse could be taken as a "spike" or surge
forinstance.

I'm gonna take a stab at it and advise you
to turn down, or turn off the shock sensor.
They are constantly falsing and are only add on
deterents. The alarm depends on the door triggers
like the dome lights, to set it off, so ou won't
be left unprotected.

Disable the sensor first and see if it solves your issue.
If not, then it's on to the door trigger wire connection.
May simply be on the wrong wire.

Keep me in the loop on this.
