Car Alarms: black widow, black widow alarm, starter wire

Question
I have a black widow alarm system that was installed on my 1993 Acura Integra. However I haven't used the alarm for many years. Can this alarm cause the car not to start at all? The alarm was not turned on at the time. But two hours later, the car started. I recently had a new starter and battery installed. If you know of any problems that this alarm has caused?

Answer
Sure, if the BW came with a starter kill relay,
it certainly can keep you from starting the engine.

Try valet overide(see last few posts) or
simply remove the alarm, and repair the starter
wire under the dash.

The wiring charts for the car is only 4.99 at

Have a good evening.
