Car Alarms: car alarm failure on 1999 HOnda accord, honda accord v6, honda accord

The car alarm on my 1999 HOnda accord (V6) is going off when I unlock the driver's side door.  It will not turn off. It just sounds and flashes the headlights for about 5 minutes, then stops.  When I either lock or unlock the doors it starts again.  I suspect the door lock system.

Answer
The EX model of the 99 Accord arms and disarms with the door locks.  If your alarm is sounding when you unlock the doors it is probably a problem with the alarm module.  A dealership would be able to remedy this problem but I am not aware of any way that you could repair it yourself.  I would suggest posting this question to http://www.hondaaccordforum.com/ and a Honda enthusiast may be able to answer the question better.
