Car Alarms: 1990 BMW Pursuit Alarm drains battery, 1990 bmw 535i, bmw 535i

Question
I bought a used 1990 BMW 535i with a Pursuit Alarm system installed- the car still has the original stickers on the door windows.  The problem is it seems the alarm is slowly draining the battery and leaving a dead battery every 30 days or so.  It is totally random and a bit unexpected when it happens.  A shop traced the draw of power to the alarm but told me it is quite complicated to totally insure that the unit is disabled and wanted a hefty sum to decommission the alarm.  Any idea of the easiest way to do this myself?  I think the unit is under the back seat near the battery- but has about 300 small wires connected to it- so I am not sure.  I have searched on line but can find nothing on a spec for a Pursuit Security System "The Protector."  Any advice on how to disable this- or where to look for wiring diagrams?

Thanks!

Answer
Reverse engineer it.
Buy the wiring chart for this car,
locate the wires shown under the dash,
and remove the interfaced wiring from the
Pursuit piece until extracted.
I do suggest though, that you get another
system in there ASAP so the car does not
disapear.

Go to www.WIREWERX.com for the wiring chart
for the BMr, and good luck with it.
