Car Alarms: 99 Escalade Alarm, alarmtek, dash area

I have a 99' Escalade and recently something got messed up with the alarm system.  It keeps going off for no apparent reason.  I am not able to lock my truck because the alarm goes off!  I don't know if this could just be a simple wiring problem or what.  Any ideas? or things I could check before I spend hundreds of dollars taking it in somewhere??

Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
Is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
"going off"?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action.
