QUESTION: Yes both test ok ... is this solenoid in the prints anywhare ?
I am sure it is something simple loose conection switch or?
and I am sure I could find the problem if I had some prints to go by

Answer
Hi Dale,

I only have the classic Range Rover workshop manuals '95 +  Do you have this workshop manual too?  You could try this manual electronics section.  Many parts on the Series I Disco were found to fit on Range Rovers, perhaps the electrics will to.
