Car Alarms: Remote Starter, trunk locks, remote starter

I have a 1993 infintit J30. I recently purchased a Commando fm-870 alarm system with remote starter. My brother is having problems getting the remote starter working. The alarm, door and trunk locks are working fine. He believes that it is the factory installed transponder immobilizer system that is not permitting the remote start to work. He has check and re-checked all the wiring, the voltage and everything. Is there a way to bypass the factory system
