Car Alarms: infiniti g20 92 car alarm goes off randomly, alarmtek, computer wire

Question
QUESTION: I just bought an infinit g20 '92 in January. Twice since I've bought it the car alarm has gone off. The only way I could stop it was by unplugging the battery overnight. The previous owner said he doesn't know how to shut it off because he thought it was disabled when he bought the car. Do you know how to turn it off?
ANSWER: Ms. Denise,
I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables on this vehicle &
I Require a bit more imput please.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

QUESTION: Hi Robert,

It is the first one, headlights flashing, the horn honking, and the word security in the side of the dashboard lighting up.

Thanks,
Denise

Answer
Ah. Well, ok a little surgery is going to be required.

Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
GREEN/YELLOW (-) at the Anti Theft Module Located
In Passenger Kick Panel Behind ABS Computer.
Wire is also Found In Driver's Kick Panel.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.

Have a good day.
