Car Alarms: alarm adjustment?, shock sensors, shock sensor

Question
QUESTION: The company that installed the Clifford Razor 2 alarm/door opener on my 1995 Honda Civic when new is out of business.  I need to desensitize the alarm and have no idea what to look for. Can you help?
Thank you. Bob
ANSWER: The Razor 2 is not listed on Clifford's website.  This leads me to believe the system was manufactured prior to DEI purchasing Clifford.  Unfortunately without a manual this would be purely a guess on how to adjust your shock sensor.  Most sensors incorporate one or two small potentiometers that can be adjusted with a small screwdriver, typically turning each clockwise will increase sensitivity and counter clockwise will decrease sensitivity.  The Clifford impact sensors were designed to mount to the steering column, or firewall so if you take a look under your dash board you may be able to see the sensor without the need to take down the dash panels.

QUESTION: Thank you for the timely response to my first question.
What would a sensor look like?  Approximately size?  I did look under the dash but did not see anything that looked non-Honda.  Have no idea what to look for.  Installation company was "The Good Guys" in California.

Again, thank you.
Bob

Answer
They will vary in size and shape but typically the are a small plastic box either mounted to the steering column, firewall, or other harness.  If you take a look at page 22 of this manual it shows a picture of one of Clifford's shock sensors.
