Car Alarms: Clifford Arrow II sensitivity, blinking red light, dodge caravan

Question
Can you tell me how to adjust the sensitivity of a Clifford Arrow II alarm?  It seems to work fine otherwise but will go off for no apparent reason.  Failing that, do you know if it's possible to just disconnect the piezo sensor and run with the door triggers, or just disconnect the horn speaker?  I was thinking in theory even without the wailing siren it should still stop it from starting if it's armed (the warning LED on the dash would be a nice touch too).  It came already installed in a 1997 Dodge Caravan I purchased a couple of years ago.  I've never really used it as it seemed WAY too sensitive but car thefts are on the rise in my area.  Any help you can give me would be appreciated.  Thank you, Joe

Answer
Look under the dash area for the shock sensor installed
A smallish box with a blinking red light perhaps.

Unplug it. These suck. I would simply be happy with the
door triggers monitoring the dome light and a trunk
because these Clifford sensors are noriously
set too high when installed, and are a nuisence
in most cases anyway. If you do want to use it,
there is a wheel inset on the shock sensor, and
to turn counter clockwise to turn down the
sensetivity, and the opposite way to raise it.

That should do it. But you may want to consider
a new system with new remotes so you know how to
control it.

Makes for a better overall experience.
