Car Alarms: vw alarm, vw jetta, door locks

i have a 1996 vw jetta that factory alarm activates at anytime even while driving. car is not worth much so i just want it disconnected. tell me how. if its easy as a fuse that would be great.

I wish I had a straight answer, but I unfortunately I do not.  Although I may be wrong I believe the alarm is actually a function of the convenience module in your vehicle.  The convenience module controls door locks, windows, security, etc.  I do not think there is a simple way to bypass the factory alarm in your vehicle.

There may be some type of work around however I am not aware of one.  I would suggest posting this question to a volkswagen specific forum like http://forums.vwvortex.com/ and maybe someone there might be able to shed some light on this for you.
