Car Alarms: CLifford alarm keypad, clifford alarm, personal code

Question
hey, i got a clifford alarm installed on my avalon a couple years back. i was out of town for 1 1/2 months and now the battery is dead which was expected. however, when i jumped the battery, the car alarm went off but the keypad wasnt working and the alarm wont shut off. i never put a personal code, i always left it on off mode but now it wont turn off. do you think maybe the battery is too drained, what should i do cuz i cannot start the car. thanks

Answer
Yes, I think your battery is the issue here.  All systems have a sort of self protect mode that if the voltage is not adequate or it sees spikes will lock up the brain.  Replacing the vehicle batter would probably resolve your issue, but I would have the current battery load tested to ensure that it is bad before replacing.
