Car Alarms: Ford PassLock intermittent problems, ford contour, tow truck driver

Question
My son has a 98 Ford Contour that was purchased at a Police Auction.  It had a Key with a chip strapped to the lower steering column so you could start it with any chip or chipless key.  One day he went out to start his car and the security light kept flashing fast while the key was in the on position.  We had the car towed to the dealer.  When the car got there it started just fine.  the next week I took the car to the dealer and they removed the key strapped to the steering column and reprogrammed our keys so we now have 3 keys.  The next week the same thing happened, this time when the tow truck driver arrived he started the car with no problem.  Now today again the same problem, we had it towed to the dealer.  Gave them the 3 keys and went shopping.  Went back to the dealer and they said the car started fine.  They said my problem was because I had the 3 keys together on one keychain.  They separated the keys and they all worked.  Well I don't think anyone drives a car with the same 3 keys on one keychain.  So I asked for the shop forman to complain.  They will look into it more on Monday as no one was there today.  Any suggestions?  I would really like to bypass this security system all together so that my son doesn't get stuck somewhere.

Answer
There is a way.
You make the ignition code reader think the smart
key is in the ignition at all times.
This keeps the system from arming at all.

To make this happen, print the following
and give it to your technician:

Go get 2 non transponder keys cut at
the hardware store for 3 bucks each.
Get a universal bypass module (key-in-a-box style)
at www.shop4remotestart.com for 25.00.

Then wrap the coil around the key cylinder,
so that the ingnion code reader always "see's"
the key in the ignition. Then it is
secured in place with a dab of hot-glue.

Connect the status input wire of the module
to good chassis ground and the positive to ignition.
No Smart Key security issues. No more transponder
key required.

The total cost on this is setup is
substantially less than what a dealership
would charge to replace and reprogram keys
all the time, or having to carry all of them!

This is what will work instead of the dealerships
profit margin. I would have a local tech do this.
Then once done and operational, tell the dealer to
go overcharge someone else!
