Car Alarms: fob deactivated on 03 Chevy suburban, car alarm installation, chevy suburban

I recently added a new fob to my 03 suburban. At the time I did not know that you needed to reprogram the old fob at the same time. Needless to say the old fob deactivated.  I tried the steps to reactivate it but the vehicle seems as if it dosen't want to accept it.  When I would down the lock and un lock buttons it does nothing.  I've held them in exsess of 2 min and still nothing. Once a FOB is deactivated how do you reactivate it

Nope sorry, not the GM tech here. My expertise is
in the application of after market systems
into Japanese and Korean vehicle platforms.
