Car Alarms: disable car alarm, honda civic 99, alarmtek

I have a honda civic 99 lx and my k-9 mundial car alarm key pad is not working anymore. how do i disable this alarm so i can install the new alarm i bought?

Ok Ms Barbie, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, (push button, spring loaded
button under the dash or, could be part of the
LED your have there)until the installed LED
(the blinking light)in your dash area goes on
solid, and the siren chirps once.

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

That should do it.

You should now be able to remove it.
I do suggest you contact the seller of the second
system installation for future install support
from that point.
