Car Alarms: Car alarm on 2000 Taurus SEL, stereo shop, random times

Car alarm (repeated horn and flashing lights) on my 20000 Taurus SEL started going off at random times and without apparent reason; I'have seen it do it several times myself.  So far, service shops I took it to are stumped.  Any ideas on what I should try next?

Too vague. Just not enough info for me to comment
on from the limited imput I have to go by.

I'd have to inspect it to offer anything.

Try taking it to an aftermarket alarm/stereo
shop to have them go over it.
