Car Alarms: viper alarm, exact model number, viper alarm system

Question
QUESTION: i recently received a two year old Toyota Tacoma, but it came with a viper alarm system (i didn't receive than users manual with the car). i was going to give the alarm system to my boyfriend. How would i go upon un-installing it?
ANSWER: The problem with doing that, is alarm systems, when installed properly will have all of their harnesses cut to length for the specific vehicle it is installed in.  In addition to having the polarities of the triggers set as well as adding other devices such as transponder bypasses. Most shops will not install used product either.  With that being said, here is a generic how to on alarm removal:

Typically an alarm system would be installed on the driver's side interior of the vehicle.  This system would have been tapped into the ignition switch wiring running down from the key.  If you remove the dash panel(s) under the steering column you should be able to locate where the harness was added that goes to the alarm.  Disconnect each wire that was tapped in and insulate the factory wiring.  You will also see that at least one of the wires was cut, this is the vehicle starter wire that runs from the key to the starter.  This wire needs to be restored, I always recommend soldering all connections but crimp connectors should also work.  Make sure that you remove all connections to the alarm and that any wires that may be exposed are insulated and mounted in a way that they will not interfere with any moving parts and do not run the risk of shorting out.  Remember to take your time and follow each connection running from the brain of the system, leaving one wire connected that you are unsure of the function could cause problems in the future so be sure to remove every wire.

If you have the exact model number of the system I may be able to find both a users and installation manual for you.

QUESTION: ok, it would be a waste of my money then to by new remotes... one of them broke and the other one i lost, i am waiting for it to be registered in my insurance and waiting for my tag and im tired of my alarm going off all the time. what is the quickest way to disarm it? or is there any wires i can cut? because i alway get locked out and its a pain having locksmiths try and come.

Answer
Turn the ignition key on and press the valet/programming button.  This will put the system into valet mode (indicated by a solid lit LED) and bypass all security features of the alarm.  The button is typically mounted in the driver's kick panel area but could be located elsewhere, there is no set location for a valet switch.
