Car Alarms: 99 Accord alarm goes off for no reason, honda shop, lx models

Question
QUESTION: Only in my work parking lot, the car alarm...honda's factory system goes off for no reason.  Sometimes 2 or 3 times a day or sometimes not at all.  I had a aftermarket viper system and i thought that could be causing the problem, so i had it unistalled and the allarm still goes off for no reason.  Any insight you can give me will help, thanks.

ANSWER: Please describe what "goes off" means?

QUESTION: The alarm goes off like I pressed the panic button on my remote or if someone unlocked the car from the inside.  The head and tail lights flash and the horn honks. I have to use my remote to unlock the car to get the alarm to shut off.

Answer
Which applies to yours:

The factory alarm arms and
disarms with the door
locks on the EX models.

The LX models arm only with
the factory transmitter.

If it's the first type, any remote system would
be able to be installed to remotely lock
and unlock/arm disarm the factory alarm.

The latter choice means unless you have
the factory remote, you will need to get it,
or you will always have this issue.

Do this first:
Try key in the drivers door lock, turn left,
then right to turn off the alarm.

If no joy, a visit to the Honda shop is
next.

Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear, but
that's what I know.
