Car Alarms: prestige alarm system, prestige alarm, valet mode

I have a prestige alarm system in my volkswagon that i have not armed in quite some time, yet it started going off and has been since my battery died a few days ago. I replaced the battery and still the alarm kept activating constantly, every time i entered the car or pressed the gas pedal, so i had to disconnect a wire so the alarm sounds would cease. The side lights still keep flashing though and no matter how i try to de-arm it, it still keeps going! any thoughts on what the problem is or how i might be able to deactivate it completely? I have no need to for the alarm.

Please try to locate the valet switch to overide the alarm.
If you would read some of the previous posts I made
on this subject, you will see the procedure
to toggle into and out of
valet mode.

This should also apply to yours.
