QuestionHow do you turn off the alarmsecurity shut-off on a 94 cherokee? Lights inside car flash on and off slow, no horn, Vehicle Info center resets.
1) I tried the key in the deck lid no change.
2) unlocked both passenger and drivers door with key no change.
can i just disarm the securit system ??
AnswerNormally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:
The green/orange (- negative) is the factory
disarm wire located in the drivers kick panel.
Once Located, splice into either wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.
However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.
