Car Alarms: 2006 accord alarm wont turn off, honda dealership, accord 2dr

Question
I have a 2006 accord 2dr coupe.  bought the car with factory installed alarm.  i tinted the windows right after purchasing the car.  it's been 11 months old since the tinting.  last night, i went to my car and press the disarm button to open the door.  door wouldn't open.  pressed all buttons nothing.  opened the door by key.  alarmed went off.  tried putting the key in the ignition and start it. nothing.   had my mom bring the other master key with remote.  tried using that remote. nothing.  ended up talking to the dealership and they told me to turn it off manually.  btw..notice that the door lock wasn't working.  when i'm sitting in the car without the key in the ignition and the door is close, the car thinks the key is in the ignition with the door open.  today took the car and the guy who installed the alarm for honda dealership said it's not the alarm.  he said my code is gone. i have to have it reset.  i have to set up an appointment with the service department.  talked to a guy in service department and he said i might have to pay it out of pocket cuz honda warranted is not cover if i had after market stuff done (tinting...and changed the interior light to blue).
please help....

thanks in advance.

Answer
Unless you hae done something electronic to the car,
you should have no issues at all with having Honda
re program your ignition key, including the interior lighting,
since all that is is changing a light bulb.

Even so, it is just a service charge,
Not alot of money to just reprogram a
code to your key.

They do it by VIN #, and as long
as you are the registered owner, it should be
a nominal charge.

I hope it works out well for you.
