Car Alarms: my car wont start because of alarm?, car wont start, acura integra

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2000 acura integra ls , I had the motor replaced and before that, the battery was dead.I was having a locksmith make me a key so I had to disconnect the battery and put a good one. After that I put the dead battery back in and towed it to the shop. So when I went to pick up the car from the shop the car didnt want to start.I thought it was the battery, but after charging it, there was no crank. they still have the car, and are supposedly trying to figure out whats wrong with it. What happened?
ANSWER: Seems to have the transmod in the ignition switch.
(chip in the key must mach the reader in the ignition or
no start). The locksmith may not have know about that.

The other thought was there is an aftermarket system
in this car, and starter kill is engaged.

But I am leaning towards the first choice.

How much was the key?

ALARMTEK

QUESTION: AAA sent the locksmith, I paid 200.00 because it had a transponder. the ting is the mechanics say they tested the car and it was fine, then When I went to pick it up, it didnt want to start. So now they cant figure out what is wrong with it.if the starter kill was engaged, how can they fix that?

Answer
Then I think it's the key that locksmith made.
It is not programmed correectly.
I think that would be the first step.
Contact the locksmith to come back and service his
work since it IS NOT working.

Then if that is corrected, my guess is that it
cranks right up. The other option is that they did not install the
computer wires correctly, but I am
leaning towards the Transmod key.

Keep in touch.
