Car Alarms: resetting a viper car alarm, viper car alarm, installation forum

Question
I have a viper car alarm from the late 1990's last week we were moving. the door to my car were open for hours at a time later that day after we were setteled I relaized the alarm did not automatically set after I left the door unlocked like it did before and even though it locks and unlocks the doors and truck it doesn't beep either when I lock it or unlock it and although I can set off the alarm with the remote fooling with the doors or trunk when it is in the locked mode doesn't set off the alarm. Can it be reset?       Thanks Barbara
