Car Alarms: avital brain box, brain box, avital alarm

My customer has a Avital alarm on his suburban and someone broke into his truck and to disable the alarm they actually stole the brain box. my question is. does the brain box have to be the same one he had in there( he doesnt remember model number of alarm) or can it be any model number?

Yes. All car alarms, the series they come in, and what they do
are different. Meaning, so are the harnesses.

You will need to start from scratch, or locate an Avital brain box
that matches what you have under the dash.

Start over with a new system with fresh remotes
and a warranty. Best idea really.
