Car Alarms: Starter Kill Relay, 2002 chevy cavalier, immobilizer system

Question
I am installing a remote start car alarm in a 2002 Chevy Cavalier. I believe the Cav has a Passlock II immobilizer system and I will need a bypass in order to have the remote start work. Do I also need to wire in a starter kill or will the Passlock II take care of that issue?

Answer
No need for starter kill in that vehicle.

According to my sheets the factory alarm (if equipped) can not be operated by anything other than factory remotes.  If your system has door lock outputs they recommend hooking them up and discontinue the use of your factory remotes.

I would strongly recommend picking up a GMBP from bypasskit.com.  This will bypass the Passlock II only during remote start and does not require cutting any wires.
